Congratulations to our own Irena Netik on summiting Mt. Rainier this past weekend! (That's even taller than the Columbia Tower she climbed back in March--13,620 feet taller, in fact.) Strong work!
Oh, yeah, Justin did it with her. We're kinda proud of him too.

Everyone was feeling warm and fuzzy after Friday evening's thruster workout.

Thanks for another amazing week, y'all.
Flip a tire, press a full keg up overhead, strap yourself into a harness and pull a double-decker bus, walk like a farmer, lift some big rocks…
Sound like fun?
Good. Then set aside Saturday, August 5, 2006, because our friends down at Rainer CrossFit are holding what we hope will be the first annual Mt. Rainier's Strongest Man contest and shindig, in Sumner, WA. Aside from being a load (ha ha) of fun, it's also a benefit for an important cause, the Fragile X Research Foundation.
Sean has already been practicing with his favorite of the implements:

I know it's sad, but there will be no evening classes this Friday, due to the jet-setting ways of your coaches.
However, everyone is welcome (as always) at the 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. classes that day. You can start your weekend early on Friday afternoon and still get your workout in that day. Come on in!
Back on the regular schedule on Monday.
Everyone, please help console James.
